Supervised by Prof. Len Thomas and Dr. Richard Glennie, I am interested in fine grain parallelism for statistical algorithms, for the benefit of (mostly Bayesian) analyses of ecological data. My current work focuses on multi-GPU implementations of (Sequential Monte Carlo) Particle MCMC for population dynamics models, with a look towards multi-GPU acceleration of Spatial Capture-Recapture in the near future.
I graduated with a BSc in Mathematics in 2018 (St Andrews), with a dissertation on Distance Sampling, and graduated from an MSc in Statistical Science in 2019 (Oxford, St Cross College), with a dissertation on the application of Particle Markov Chain Monte Carlo to State Space Model formulations of Integral Projection Models. I am a keen baker, rower, photographer and terrible guitar player.
