Within CREEM there is a vibrant and dynamic group dedicated to undertaking research contracts both long- and short-term. Prior to CREEM being established, this group was known as the Research Unit for Wildlife Population Assessment (RUWPA) and it has undertaken scores of research projects. There is a substantial amount of experience within the group in survey design using visual, digital and acoustic methods and analysis of survey data to estimate animal abundance.  As well the training workshops, one-to-one training can be provided, software can be tailored to meet the needs of the client and technical reviews undertaken.
