edit dlb details

I develop and apply statistical methods for solving problems in ecology, primarily involving drawing inferences about wildlife population abundance, distribution and populaton trajectories from survey data of various sorts. These methods are used extensively by national, international and private conservation and management organizations.

My research interests include: Statistical methods for estimating wildlife population parameters, including estimation of abundance, distribution and trends, from survey data. Distance Sampling, Spatially Explicit Mark-Recapture, other Mark-Recapture and Removal methods, Sampling Theory and Spatial Modelling methods. My home page is here.
